DCIIA was proud to be an industry champion for this year's Women in the Workplace report, published by McKinsey and LeanIn.Org with special coverage by The Wall Street Journal.
DCIIA became actively involved with supporting the Women in the Workplace report this year. We encouraged our members to consider submitting data and being included in the report.
Among other findings, we've learned that 44% of companies now have three or more women in the C-suite and almost 90% of companies now say that gender diversity is a high priority compared to 74% in 2015. However, we also learned that women make up only 21% of C-suite executives and for every 100 entry-level men who are promoted to manager, only 72 women are promoted.
We look forward to hearing more about this year's study at our special event November 20th in New York, just prior to the Academic Forum -- "Diversity and Inclusion: Research, Data, and Real-World Insights" -- one of our speakers will be Gabriela Skouloudi, Partner, McKinsey & Company. DCIIA members and plan sponsors can register today for this event -- contact us on firstname.lastname@example.org for a link to register.
We look forward to continuing to build our relationship with McKinsey around the Women in the Workplace report as we continue to make diversity and inclusion a central part of DCIIA's mission.
